From inspiration to impact: Jashanjot’s entrepreneurial journey with COIE
My journey with COIE began at a VR workshop—my first hands-on exposure to entrepreneurship. I had always been interested in entrepreneurship, but never knew where to start. COIE became the place where I could finally learn, practice, and grow in a supportive environment. A major turning point was the one-on-one mentorship and participating in the One-Minute Pitch Competition, where I refined my venture idea, focused on a brief venture idea, e.g., a tech-enabled solution to improve student wellness, sustainabilit and accessibility. The constant, constructive feedback helped me sharpen my pitch, storytelling, and clarity. Winning the One-Minute Pitch Competition at Demo Day Fall 2025 validated my growth and gave me the confidence to believe in my ideas and presentation skills.

Through COIE, I also used a VR headset for the first time and developed lasting confidence in public speaking, pitching, and communication. These skills continue to support my academic, professional, and personal growth. As a Student Ambassador, I actively encourage my friends and classmates to explore COIE opportunities. I truly believe in the ecosystem COIE provides and love sharing how it helps students learn, grow, and build confidence in their ideas.
