When Anthony Wong first joined COIE, he had an idea, but not yet a clear direction. Through mentorship, hands-on workshops, and real-world exposure, that idea transformed into a focused startup vision. Today, with growing confidence and sharpened strategic thinking, Anthony is building Strategic Bridge, a platform supporting Hong Kong newcomers in Toronto, and is already looking ahead to giving back by helping future student entrepreneurs take their first steps.

Anthony’s Entrepreneurial Journey with COIE

Anthony Wong was drawn to COIE for its strong focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. He joined the program with an idea that was still in its early stages, but through hands-on mentorship, practical workshops, and exposure to experienced speakers, that concept quickly evolved into a clearer and more strategic startup direction.

Through COIE’s mentorship program, Anthony was challenged with critical questions that exposed gaps in his thinking and strengthened his value proposition. Workshops and ecosystem events expanded his network and grounded his ideas in real-world perspectives, while VR pitching sessions and Demo Day preparation significantly boosted his presentation skills and confidence.

Today, Anthony credits COIE with helping him apply business models in practice, strengthen his strategic and questioning skills, and turn ideas into action. Passionate about giving back, he plans to support future students and changemakers through experience sharing, mentorship conversations, and speaking, helping others build confidence and take meaningful steps toward innovation.
