Jennifer McIlroy has over twenty years experience working as a marketing, communications and business professional. After completing her studies in the Honours Bachelor of Public Administration program at Carleton University, she began her career by telling students across Canada on behalf of the Ministry of Finance all about the virtues of saving money. From there, she continued branding and advertising in senior leadership roles for Toronto agencies, delivering to high standards of performance and leading complex global assignments such as the global re-brand for Canada Life, launching the Flu Shot and Telehealth for the Ontario Ministry of Long Term care, and redesigning the customer retail experience for high-end luxury brands.
As an entrepreneur with her own marketing consortium, she helps clients in the financial and public sector industries optimize marketing teams and create operational relevance for communications departments. Clients include Scotiabank International, CFIB, Stott Pilates, CPAB, FMC LLB, and Canada’s Sports Hall of Fame.
She currently teaches business, project management, professional writing, presentation, and professional practice courses in several post-graduate faculties of study at Centennial College and was nominated for the prestigious George Wicken Award for Teaching Excellence by her students. Since starting a Summer camp in Ottawa for kids, Jennifer has dedicated her volunteer life to empowering youth, most recently as a principle of Volunteers in Motion (VIM), a training program for civic action mobilizers and trailblazers.
